Baghdad Member of the House of Representatives from the Saeroon Coalition Salam Al-Shammari described setting the date for the withdrawal of US forces from the country as a success to be reckoned with for all those who participated in the negotiations of the last round of strategic dialogue with Washington.

He said in a press statement that: What happened is a positive reflection of the demands of the people and their representatives in Parliament who demanded the exit of US forces, whose presence was a negative matter that weakened Iraq’s political role regionally and internationally.

Al-Shammari added that what happened in Washington is an important step for the stability of Iraq, which must be invested to enhance political and societal stability and to stand against those who try to disturb this stability with unsuccessful positions and statements.

He stressed the need for the political blocs and their representatives in Parliament to work with the executive authority to create the appropriate conditions for the implementation of this decision and not to give the excuse for some to engage in irresponsible behavior that would be a pretext for delaying the implementation of the withdrawal decision.
