Al-Abadi said in a speech to a crowd of people on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Fallujah: “The liberation of the city of Fallujah from the terrorist gangs of ISIS was thanks to the sacrifices of the Iraqis who wrote the most wonderful epics of victory in the war of liberation.
He added that: Preserving human dignity and liberating him was in the first place for us.
Al-Abadi indicated that: There are those who bet that Fallujah will not be liberated, but at that time we had the insistence on liberating it and saving its people from terrorist gangs. He indicated that: With the cooperation of the people and the heroism of our forces, the city was liberated, which was one of the main gates to liberate all Iraqi cities.
He continued, “The country has gone through difficult times and an existential challenge, and the world was looking at us that Iraq is over and they must deal with a new reality, but we have proven that Iraq is stronger and our heroes are capable of achieving what everyone did not expect by liberating the land at a time when the most prominent optimists were not expected.”
He pointed out that: Corruption represents the biggest enemy, and it is the one that led to the collapse, and this system of corruption is currently working to spread chaos, and they may try to restore the scene to what happened years ago.
Al-Abadi noted that: In times of battles and when the country needed support, the voices were louder internally to weaken the determination and strike the government, but we did not pay attention to them and continued and liberated the entire lands.
He said: It is very important to preserve the achieved victory and not to forfeit it, as well as to preserve what was achieved during the period from the end of 2014 to 2018.
Al-Abadi added that: Iraq deserves from us to unite and make sacrifices for it, and our people deserve to work day and night to provide services to them and make them happy.
Al-Abadi pointed out that: look at the citizen should be one and not on the basis of mood, proximity, clan and giving jobs to them, as this is a great corruption.
