Baghdad Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced a close visit of the Iraqi Foreign Minister to Tehran.
Khatibzadeh said in a press conference today, Monday: “The visit of Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein will take place soon, and it is premature to speculate on the content of the visit, and that Iran will take decisions based on the message it receives.”
Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi sends official invitations to attend the summit meeting of the neighboring countries of Iraq, to be held at the end of this month.
Iraq is seeking to host a summit at the level of leaders of neighboring countries in order to reduce tension in the region and focus efforts to combat terrorist groups.
Baghdad also wants to strengthen its economic relations with neighboring countries and open its doors to investments, especially to establish projects in areas affected by the war against ISIS.
The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, began sending invitations to the countries of the region to attend the conference to be held at the end of this month.
It is expected that in the coming days, other envoys from Al-Kadhimi will travel to all the neighboring countries of Iraq, as well as the regional neighborhood and a number of European countries.
