Baghdad Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, expressed his concern over the developments of the security situation and events in Afghanistan and the progress of the Taliban movement.
Ammar al-Hakim said in a statement: “We are following with great concern the accelerating security events in the Afghan scene and the fall of many cities into the hands of the Taliban, which sparked chaos as a result of the uncalculated American withdrawal.”
He pointed out that the events “confirm that reliance on foreign forces and external support to reform the conditions of internal countries will be worthless if isolated from the national understandings of the people of the same country.”
Al-Hakim called on “all Afghan movements and parties to work together to serve the interests of the Afghan Muslim people of various nationalities and sects, and to benefit from the harsh experiences that they have gone through during the past two decades.”
