Baghdad The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, called for making the commemoration of the tenth of Muharram an incentive to renounce violence and extremism and renounce differences.
Barzani said in a tweet today, “Let us make the remembrance of the painful Ashura an incentive to erase the thought and culture of violence and extremism and to reject differences, and an inspiration to consolidate the bonds of love and principles of tolerance and coexistence among the people’s sects in order to establish stability and peace in our country.”
He added: “I hope that all the peoples of the world will enjoy peace and prosperity.
