Baghdad The Presidency of the Council of Representatives held a meeting that included the heads of parliamentary blocs, to discuss the sustainability of the work of the Council during the coming period.
The meeting discussed, according to a statement of the House of Representatives, the legislation of some laws and agreements that reached the voting stage, and activating the oversight role of the Council, in addition to the need to vote on members of the Federal Court of Cassation during the upcoming sessions.
The meeting also discussed the formation of a committee of experts to select members of the Human Rights Commission.
During the meeting, it was decided to hold successive sessions this week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
