Baghdad The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee renewed its call on the government to implement the parliament’s decision to expel all foreign forces from Iraqi territory.

In a press statement, the committee denounced the air aggression that targeted sites and stationing points of the Popular Mobilization Forces within the Iraqi borders in Al-Qaim district, west of Anbar Governorate, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of martyrs and wounded and the destruction of military sites designated for border control purposes, preventing the entry of terrorists and protecting Iraqi land, indicating that these forces have not crossed the international borders of the Republic of Iraq, and they are charged with purely defensive tasks.”

The Parliamentary Committee affirmed that the Popular Mobilization is a national force that operates according to its law and is under the command of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and that targeting it is targeting the Iraqi national will and its armed forces everywhere.
