Suspects of terrorism, kidnapping and drug trafficking arrested in Maysan

Amara Police forces in Maysan arrested a number of suspects of terrorism, kidnapping and drug trafficking, and seized quantities of weapons and ammunition in their possession.

Maysan Governorate Police and Facilities Commander Major General Hassan Al-Saray said in a press conference held at the headquarters of the Maysan Police Directorate, “the governorate police and the rest of the departments of the security and intelligence services carried out important security operations in all their fields, which resulted in the arrest of traffickers and users of narcotics and psychotropic substances and the seizure of quantities of drugs.”

He added that a number of suspects of terrorism, kidnapping and armed robbery were arrested, and various medium and light weapons were seized in their possession.”

The Maysan Police Commander touched on the security plan for the holy month of Muharram and its security and service vocabulary, and the awareness aspects to spread health and preventive awareness for all Husseini processions, pointing to the publication of patrols according to the sector of responsibility for departments, police stations and all joint security units.
