Baghdad The Ministry of Transport / General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring / Seismic Monitoring Department announced today, Friday, that Iraq recorded nearly 50 earthquakes during the month of July 2021.
The Director of the Seismic Monitoring Department, Samira Reda Khalaf, said in a statement today, that the total number of earthquakes recorded in the Iraqi seismic monitoring network for this month is (48) earthquakes, including twenty-five inside Iraq and twenty-three other earthquakes inside Iran and near the border areas for Iraq. Its strength ranged between (2.4 – 5.0) degrees. While its focal depths ranged between (5-28) km.
