/11/ wanted persons, two of them for drug trafficking, arrested in Basra

Basra A joint security force has arrested 11 wanted persons, two of them for drug dealing in Basra.

The Basra Operations Command stated in a statement that / NINA / received a copy of it, that a force from the 36th Mechanized Brigade, Commandos Brigade of Operations Command and a force arranged from the headquarters, in addition to the Federal Police, the Basra Governorate Police Emergency Regiments, and the security and intelligence agencies managed to arrest 11 wanted persons, two of whom were in trade in Narcotic substances.

“The force confiscated 17 Kalashnikov automatic rifles, two BKC medium machine guns, and various types of ammunition, in addition to narcotics,” he added.

He added that the operations included two axes, the first axis, the areas of Al-Deir, Al-Hartha, Al-Hawir, Al-Ahwar and the outskirts of the Shafi areas. As for the second axis, it included the areas of Abu Al-Khasib and Umm Al-Rasas in Al-Faw and the center of Basra Governorate.
