The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 17 foreign infiltrators who tried to cross the borders in the governorates of Nineveh and Sulaymaniyah.
A statement by the Ministry stated that "the detachments of the first regiment in the seventeenth Border Brigade within the Sixth Region Border Command arrested (5) foreign infiltrators who tried to cross the border west of Nineveh, indicating that the detachments of the second regiment in the twenty-first Border Brigade within the First Region Border Command in Sulaymaniyah managed to arrest of (12) foreign infiltrators who tried to cross the border illegally.”
