(175) Trucks that tried to pass through forged papers were seized at the northern port of Umm Qasr

Baghdad The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of (175) trucks that tried to pass through forged papers at the northern port of Umm Qasr.

The Authority stated in a statement that the detachments of the northern port of Umm Qasr seized and thwarted an attempt to smuggle (175) trucks loaded with iron pipes, outside the customs campus.”

It added that through detection and audit procedures, it was found that the certificate of authenticity of origin certificate issued by the Border Ports Authority was forged in an unsuccessful attempt to evade paying fines.”
