Baghdad The Security Media Cell announced the arrest of (39) accused persons, including of terrorism cases, in Karbala.

It stated in a statement that the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry of Interior has begun implementing a proactive security operation in the holy governorate of Karbala, which included checking guest data inside hotels and tourist facilities.

It added that the operation resulted in the arrest of (39 defendants, including wanted persons according to the provisions of Article 4 / of terrorism, and 406 premeditated murder, as well as a convicted defendant (death and fugitive) and others according to various criminal articles.

It explained that two fictitious tourism companies operating in the governorate were exposed in violation of the law and regulations.

It indicated that: taking legal measures against the accused and arresting them in a fundamental way.
