8 ISIS militants Killed In A Military Operation By Peshmerga In Cooperation With The Int’l Coalition In Daquq And Tuz Khurmatu

Sulaymaniyah Eight ISIS militants were killed in a surprise military operation launched by the Peshmerga forces.

Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, said in press statements that the Peshmerga forces launched a surprise military operation, at dawn today, with the support of helicopters and combat aircraft of the International Coalition against ISIS targets east of Tuz Khurmatu district, adding that the aircrafts and helicopters of the International Coalition bombed the organization’s targets and hideouts, while the Peshmerga forces combed the land, killing 8 militants in the organization, in addition to destroying several hideouts.

Sheikh Mustafa explained that the military operation included areas east of Tuz Khurmatu district, specifically in the rugged areas surrounding the village of Dawooda on the borders of Daquq district, noting that ISIS militants were active in the area as it was one of the security voids between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army, noting that the operation “comes after the formation of the Peshmerga and the army have 4 coordination centers this month.
