Baghdad A child was killed and 7 others were wounded, one of them seriously, when a bomb exploded in the Al-Jubeibat Al-Gharbibat neighborhood in the city of Jableh in Latakia Governorate on the Syrian coast.

SANA news agency reported that a child died in the explosion, in addition to wounding seven others, adding that investigations are underway to find out the details.

While local media said that the bomb was near a garbage container and its explosion led to the death of a boy and the injury of 7 others, who were taken to the city hospital, in addition to damaging a number of cars.

No other details of the incident are yet known, according to Syrian sources.
