A Council of Government will meet on Thursday under the chairmanship of Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch.

At the start of its proceedings, the Council will examine a presentation by the Minister of Justice on Morocco’s response to the international human rights system, as well as a draft law amending and supplementing the law on the fight against doping in sport, according to a press release from the Head of Government’s department.

It will also be examining four draft decrees: the first amending the decree relating to the granting of additional remuneration to teaching and research staff at faculties of medicine and pharmacy and faculties of dentistry, while the second concerns the decree on the special status of the corps of teaching and research staff in higher education.

The third draft decree concerns the special status of the interministerial corps of teacher-researchers in non-university higher education establishments, while the fourth draft amends and supplements the decree on the special status of the corps of teacher-researchers in medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.

The Council will conclude its proceedings by examining proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with the provisions of article 92 of the Constitution, the press release added, noting that the government will then hold a private meeting to examine certain draft laws.
