Israeli media reported this evening, Saturday, the death of a female soldier after she was shot at the Shuafat military checkpoint in the city of Jerusalem.

It stated that the reports indicate that the perpetrator turned back towards the camp and was unable to cross the checkpoint towards Jerusalem after he was shot, and that Shuafat camp witnessed celebrations after the shooting.

Earlier, the media reported that two Israeli soldiers were wounded by gunfire.

The Zaka Rescue Foundation had indicated that one of the injured was in serious condition, and the second was in a very critical condition.
