Al-Amara, The security forces in Maysan overthrew a network operating in human trafficking, in Qalaat Saleh district, south of the governorate.
Maysan Police Command said in a statement, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received: “A joint security force managed to arrest an entire network involved in the crime of human trafficking, consisting of (4) people, half of whom are women.”
The leadership added: “This network is led by a woman from the district who brings girls who have run away from their families and minors from outside the province, for immoral purposes and practices and other socially unacceptable topics that are punishable by law, indicating that legal measures have been duly taken against them.”
