A Joint Force Destroys A Workshop For Booby-Trap Cars, Hideouts And Dismantling IEDs in Nineveh

Baghdad A joint force of the Popular Mobilization and the security forces destroyed a workshop for booby-trap cars and a number of hideouts belonging to the remnants of ISIS terrorist, while 14 explosive devices were detonated and dismantled south of Hatra district in Nineveh Governorate.

A statement by the Popular Mobilization stated: “A joint force from Nineveh operations of the Popular Mobilization and the Iraqi army carried out a security operation yesterday evening, Sunday, which resulted in the search of more than a thousand square kilometers from Umm al-Aqrab Bridge to Wadi al-Tharthar, south of Hatra area of Nineveh.”

It added, “During the operation, a workshop was found to armor booby-traps, and it was destroyed, and 13 explosive devices were detonated and dismantled. A number of hideouts were found, completely destroyed, and the Geneva Airport, Umm al-Aqrab Bridge, the Sujurat area and the surrounding areas, all the way to Wadi al-Tharthar were searched.
