Baquba Diyala Police Commander Major General Hamid Al-Shammari announced the releasing of a kidnapped person, hours after he was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen northeast of Baquba.
Al-Shammari said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA received a copy of it: “After receiving information about the case of the kidnapping of a citizen, a specialized security team was formed. After intensifying the intelligence work, the team was able to locate the kidnapped in one of the abandoned orchards in Abu Saida district, and released him hours after his kidnapping.”
He added that the kidnapped was handed over to his relatives safely. And that the process of searching for the kidnappers is continuing in order to arrest them and hand them over to justice
