A Kurdish Minister: There is nothing left but the Turkish response to agree to resume crude oil exports of Kurdistan

The Acting Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Kamal Muhammad Salih, said that there is nothing left but the Turkish response to the Federal Ministry of Oil by approving the resumption of crude oil exports of the Kurdistan region.

During his meeting with Turkild Beugh, the European Union envoy to Iraq and head of the Union’s Relations Office in Erbil, the Minister valued the relations between the central and regional governments regarding the oil file.

He said: “All the differences between Erbil and Baghdad are moving towards a solution, and there is no black left. The Turkish side’s response to the Federal Ministry of Oil to resume Kurdistan region’s oil exports.

Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani confirmed, earlier, that Baghdad “is still waiting for a final response from Turkey before resuming oil exports from the Kurdistan region through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
