A major campaign to remove mines and war remnants on the border strip

The Border Forces Command carried out a major campaign to remove mines and war remnants on the border strip.

The Command’s statement stated that the Border Forces Command forces carried out a major campaign to remove mines and war remnants left from the Iraqi-Iranian war on the border strip from Al-Sheeb in Maysan Governorate to Khanaqin in Diyala Governorate, with the explosives experts’ own capabilities in the Command, which included removing thousands of mines and clearing a border path with a distance of 670 km.

It added that security fortifications will be installed on it, in addition to serving the people of the villages and the neighboring border areas.
