The security forces in Maysan arrested a man and a woman involved in drug trafficking, in one of the security checkpoints in the south of the governorate.
The Maysan Police Command said in a statement, a copy of which was received by the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The accused were riding a vehicle and tried to pass through Qalaat Saleh district control, where they were caught red-handed, and (3) small-sized bags of crystal material) that were hidden inside a women’s bag belonging to the woman, noting that all legal measures will be taken and they will be referred to the competent authorities.”
