Kut Detachments of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Department managed to arrest two suspects, a man and a woman, of drug trafficking and abuse, in an operation carried out in the city of Kut.

A source in the Wasit Police told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the arrest operation was carried out by detachments of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, and the defendants were seized with 5 plastic bags containing the narcotic “crystal” weighing 14 grams, in addition to confiscating ampoules used for the use of various types of narcotics, adding that legal measures have been taken against the two suspects and they have been referred to the judiciary.
