Baghdad Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi, Chief of Staff of the Army General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, and Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, General Abdul Amir Al-Shamri, inspected today, Monday, Maysan province.
The Ministry of Defense stated in a statement: “The inspection tour also included the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, the Commander of the Land Forces, the Secretary of the Army’s Chief of Staff Operations and the Director of Military Intelligence.”
It added, “The governor of Maysan, the Commander of Sumer Operations, the provincial police chief and the leaders of the security services in the province received the security delegation, where the police chief gave a summary of the security situation in the province, then the directors of the security services in the province gave a detailed explanation, each according to his specialization.”
The Ministry indicated, “an extensive discussion of the most important issues raised in the meeting, where directives and recommendations were issued in order to maintain security and stability and impose the prestige of the state in the province.”
It continued, “the security delegation also held a security meeting with the governor of Maysan in the governorate’s office, and then concluded its tour by visiting the governorate police command.”
