A number of foreigners violating the Iraqi residency law arrested in Basra

Baghdad The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a number of foreigners who violated the Iraqi residency law in Basra.

The Ministry stated in a statement that the staff of the Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence in Basra Governorate has arrested 16 foreigners of different nationalities for violating the terms of the Iraqi Aliens Residence Law No. 76 of 2017.

It indicated that the efforts of the Directorate of Residence Affairs are continuing to prosecute violating foreigners. It called on citizens, not to harbor foreigners who violate the law and to immediately report their whereabouts to serve the public interest.
