A Parliamentary Meeting Of The Interim Committee In Charge Of Following Up The Work Of The Governmental Committee For Article 140

The Presidency of the Parliament held today, Thursday, the first meeting of the Interim Parliamentary Committee, which was formed by a parliamentary order based on the provisions of the Constitution and the rules of procedure of the Parliament. It follows up on the work of the governmental committee regarding compensation for those covered by Article 140 of the Constitution.

The meeting, chaired by the second deputy, Shakhwan Abdullah, discussed opinions, proposals, and work mechanisms in coordination with the political blocs and state institutions to restore the rights of the deportees and those affected by the policies of the ex- regime and the demographic change that affected the governorates (Kirkuk – Diyala – Salah al-Din – Nineveh) and a number of regions in the center and south.
