Al-Amarah Maysan Governor “Ali Douai Lazem” chaired today, Tuesday, a meeting of the Supreme Security Committee, in the presence of all its members, to discuss and review the challenges and problems related to the security file in the governorate.

A statement by the Governor’s media office stated: “One of the most important topics discussed during the meeting are the tribal problems and conflicts that the governorate suffers from and ways to reduce them through strict legal and executive measures, and the issue of drugs, uncontrolled weapons, criminal accidents, organized crime, follow-up to markets and high prices.”

During the meeting, the Governor emphasized taking all required legal measures regarding the issues raised and not complacency in accomplishing official tasks and duties, stressing the need to address security violations and lack of courtesy in the application of the law, follow up the perpetrators, implement arrest warrants issued against them and bring them to justice
