Najaf The Najaf Governorate Police Directorate and the facilities affiliated to the Police Affairs Agency announced that emergency patrols under the supervision of the director of the emergency department had arrested those accused of drug trafficking.

The Directorate said in a statement, “After information were received that there was shooting in Al-Ishtiari neighborhood behind Al-Rawan Street, our patrols were directed to the intended place and it was found that the intelligence detachments were present and they had an arrest warrant for a wanted suspect in accordance with Article 406. The person was chased with the intelligence detachments, and during the pursuit, he was arrested by the rescue patrols, and seized 60 grams of the narcotic crystal in his possession.

It added, “three suspects who were with him were arrested for drug trafficking, and they were handed over to the Intelligence Directorate.”
