Aboul Gheit: A Ministerial Meeting Next Month To Discuss Syria’s Return To The Arab League

Baghdad The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, announced today, Wednesday, that a ministerial meeting will be held next month to consider Syria’s return to the Arab League.

Aboul Gheit said in statements from the Jordanian capital, Amman, that “a ministerial meeting will be held next month to consider Syria’s return to the Arab League.”

The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, had confirmed that the date of holding the Arab summit has not yet been determined, and consultations are still in place with Algeria to choose the best timing.

Zaki added in a press conference that the date of the summit will be determined based on consultation between the host country and the rest of the member states, and I can say that it will be after the holy month of Ramadan.

He said that Algeria is ready to receive this major event and is sharing with the League of Arab States arrangements for holding the next Arab summit.
