Abu Dhabi for Culture and Arts honors the master of the Arabic Oud, the international artist Naseer Shamma

The Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts honored Professor of the Arabic Oud, Goodwill Ambassador, the international artist, Naseer Shamma, in honor of his outstanding contributions in the field of music and his long-term cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts and a number of artists participating in the co-production work and the exclusive commission from the Abu Dhabi Festival, for their pioneering achievement and continuous career in the service of culture and the arts.

The event, which was held at the Emirates Palace in collaboration with Chopard, was attended by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

The list of honorees included Sheikh Mahmoud El-Tohamy, Emirati composers Ihab Darwish, David Shire and John Debney, and international producer Robert Towson for their creative work “Triple Symphony”.
