After A 16-Month Hiatus, The Iraqi Drilling Company Resumes Work In Al-Gharraf Oil Field

Basra The cadres of the Iraqi Drilling Company resumed the implementation of the contract concluded with the Malaysian Petronas Company to drill 28 directional oil wells in Al-Gharraf oil field, after a stop of more than 16 months due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

the company’s media stated in a statement that NINA received a copy of it, the IDC 58 drilling rig started drilling operations of the directional oil well D 108 P, with a depth of 2,650 meters and an angle of 33 degrees, which is the eleventh well that the company is implementing under this contract.

It added: The IDC-58 drilling rig with a horsepower of 2000 HP is one of the modern devices in the company, and it can reach depths of more than six thousand meters.
