Al-Abadi Calls For The Withdrawal Of The Turkish Forces Through Dialogue

Baghdad The head of “Al-Nasr” coalition, Haider Al-Abadi, called for getting the Turkish forces out from Iraqi lands through dialogue.

Al-Abadi said, in televised statements: “We welcome Iraq’s openness to its Arab surroundings, and we reject the use of Iraq to launch attacks on neighboring countries.”

He stressed, “Attacks on the international coalition forces are unacceptable,” stressing that “the Turkish forces must be expelled from Iraqi territory through dialogue”.

Regarding the popular mobilization, the former prime minister announced his rejection of the political agenda within the popular mobilization.

In this regard, he said: “We want the popular mobilization to be under the command of the commander-in-chief,” noting: “People within the PMF are working in combination to carry out the work under the command of the commander in chief.”

He added, “We are against the use of the PMF by some opportunists for electoral interests, and what happened in Green Zone could have turned into an armed clash, and some called it a military coup.”

Regarding the elections, he stressed: “Postponing the early elections in Iraq is out of the question,” calling for wide participation in them for the sake of change.
