Al-Abadi’s office: It is not permissible to abuse freedom by defamation and false accusations

Baghdad The media office of the head of Al-Nasr Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, confirmed that it is not permissible to abuse freedom by defamation and false accusations.

It said in a statement that a link has spread on social media in which people present their own problem of being evicted from a place rented by landlords. They mentioned the name of Dr. Haider Al-Abadi with defamation, exposure and false accusation, and they inserted his name as a lie and slander, while it has nothing to do with the problem or the mentioned property, neither from near nor from afar.

It called on judicial and governmental institutions to quickly and comprehensively investigate the allegations of the owners of the problem, to achieve the right, whether they have it or upon them.

It continued: The office of Dr. Haider Al-Abadi will prosecute those who appeared in the video, on charges of insult, slander, defamation, accusation and slander, to take responsibility for their actions, or to apologize publicly, so it is not permissible to abuse freedom by slander and false accusation.

It said: We only want justice for ourselves and for others, and we do not accept falsehood, and slander to be the language of dealing.
