Al-Araji chairs a meeting to discuss controlling the Iraqi-Syrian border

Baghdad National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji chaired, today, Tuesday, a meeting to discuss controlling and securing the border areas with Syria, in the presence of the intelligence services, the Joint Operations Command and representatives of the Popular Mobilization.

A statement by the chancellery stated that during the meeting, they discussed the problems facing controlling and strengthening security control in the border areas, especially those related to the Iraqi-Syrian borders.

The meeting also discussed ways to secure the Iraqi borders and prevent the infiltration of terrorists into Iraqi territory, and the necessary recommendations were made regarding overcoming the challenges of security and stability in the country in general, and according to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
