Baghdad The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) confirmed its support for the agreement between the government and the US side to end the foreign military presence inside Iraqi territory at the end of the current year 2021.
The head of the PMF, Faleh al-Fayyad, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), that “all the political blocs agreed to the agreement achieved between the government and the American side to end the US military presence inside Iraq by the end of this year 2021,” noting that “the Popular Mobilization supports this agreement, which is expected to be fully implemented by the end of this year.”
He added, “Sovereignty is one of the most important requirements for the establishment of the state, and the Popular Mobilization defends this sovereignty,” reiterating that “every movement of the formations affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces is by order of the Joint Operations Command
