Baghdad The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, discussed with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Adnan Darjal, the adoption of the Olympic champion project.
The General Secretariat stated in a statement: “Al-Ghazi received Adnan Darjal and representatives of the Athletics Federation, and they discussed mechanisms for developing the youth and sports reality in Iraq in general, and athletics in particular, and upgrading the level of sports institutions, based on the Iraqi government’s interest in this vital file, and the support it provides to the National teams participating in international tournaments.
The attendees also discussed the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to adopt the (Olympic Champion) project, which prepares the champions in terms of physical and technical aspects to prepare a future sports generation that raises the name of Iraq in international forums, and to provide all the requirements that contribute to the development of athletics, represented by the recruitment of foreign coaches, and the preparation of arenas and stadiums for training
