Baghdad Head of the Alliance of National State Forces, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the importance of political representation for the Christian component in Iraq.
During his meeting with Yonadam Kanna, head of al-Rafidain Parliamentary Bloc, Al-Hakim called for the unity of the Christian class and for the Christian quota to be an expression of the will of the component.
He reiterated, according to a statement by his media office, his position on the presence of the Christian component and its entitlement at the level of representation.
Al-Hakim said: “Christians are a qualitative addition to our society, and they are our window towards the Christian world, through managing diversity in this country.”
