Baghdad Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and his accompanying delegation met, today, Sunday, in Manama, the Speaker of the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh on the sidelines of the 146th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union,

The media office of the Parliament Speaker stated: “The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance cooperation between the Iraqi Council of Representatives and the Bahraini Shura and Representative Councils.”

The two sides exchanged legislative expertise and experience and parliamentary diplomacy, and coordinated positions, especially in international forums, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common concern.
