Al-Jaafari and his British counterpart discussed security developments and the bombing of Manchester

BAGHDAD / Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jaafari and his British counterpart, Boris Johnson, discussed the latest security developments and the bombing of the city of Manchester in a telephone call, extending the condolences of the government and people of Iraq to the British people.

Al-Jaafari stressed the need to strengthen cooperation and coordination in order to eliminate terrorism and prevent its spread, especially as Iraq faces a global war against Daesh gangs, in support of the world, calling on the international community to respond to this common enemy to all humanity.

For his part, Johnson stressed the continued support of his country to Iraq in its war against terrorist gangs, and the importance of coordination between the two countries in all that would accelerate the elimination of terrorism, security cooperation, and intelligence.
