Al-Kaabi: Commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) is to follow the path of reform, social justice and support the oppressed

Baghdad First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, offered his deepest condolences on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and his family and companions.

He stressed in a statement that commemorating this painful memory is to follow the path of reform, social justice and support the oppressed, for it is the supreme goal for which our Imam Hussein and his pure family (peace be upon him) and his martyrs were sacrificed.

He continued that: The revolution of Imam Aba Abdullah / peace be upon him/ is greater and loftier than being within the framework of remembrance for limited days each year or directed at one religion or sect as much as it is a lesson for humanity as a whole and for every human being who rejects injustice, corruption and persecution and seeks peace and a decent life.

He explained: We must have the same goal that Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) came out for, which is to act in action, not in words, towards the real change of our reality and guarantee the future of our coming generations. We must expel them and hold them accountable for their actions, and the beginning should be from the ballot boxes. The people are now able to say their word to choose the best, the most efficient, and the best. They are able to wage the battle of reform and put an end to corruption.

Al-Kaabi praised the exceptional efforts of the heroic security forces in their various formations and types and their dedication to securing the fortieth visit and preserving the safety of visitors in cooperation with the Husseini processions and their workers, and their efforts became the focus of admiration and fascination for the whole world
