Al-Kadhimi: Armed Manifestations Today Are Serious Violation Of Constitution And The Laws In Force

Baghdad The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, affirmed that: The armed manifestations that took place today are a serious violation of the constitution and the laws in force.

He said in a statement: An Iraqi security force specialized in the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces implemented a judicial arrest warrant against one of the accused this morning in accordance with Article 4 terrorism and based on complaints against him.

Al-Kadhimi added: A joint investigative committee consists of the Joint Operations Command, Interior Intelligence, Military Intelligence, National Security and Popular Mobilization Security to investigate the accusations against him, and he is now in the custody of the Joint Operations Command until the end of the investigation.

He explained that: the armed manifestations that occurred by armed groups are a serious violation of the Iraqi constitution and the laws in force, and we directed an immediate investigation into these moves according to the law.

Al-Kadhimi stressed that: Protecting the security of the homeland and not exposing the security of our people to adventures at this historical stage is a responsibility placed on the shoulders of the government, security and military forces, parties and political forces, and therefore we call on everyone to give priority to the interest of the homeland.
