Najaf Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi said: Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, is a humanitarian icon worthy of us to celebrate on the day of his birth, and we evoke on this day the values that he adhered to until his martyrdom.

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi added: Imam Ali, peace be upon him, the author of the human saying, people are of two types, your brother in religion or similar to you in character. Iraq is trying to turn it into a source of weakness. We must take advantage of this diversity.

He added in a speech to him at the celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him: The Authority Sistani was the first to notice this diversity, but there are those who want to ignite sectarian strife in Iraq, and the Authority Sistani used to say to the Muslims and the Iraqis, “You are ourselves,” a message that Imam Ali, peace be upon him, was focusing on and thus he is Imam Ali (peace be upon him)
