Baghdad The Prime Minister, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, inaugurated today the memorial of the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service.
He said during the opening ceremony: “We are inaugurating this pure Iraqi artwork (Monument of the Martyrs), in remembrance, memorialization and loyalty to the memory of the heroic martyrs of the Counter-Terrorism Service and out of gratitude for their epics.”
Al-Kadhimi said “we will not close our eyes, and we will not sleep until the last terrorist in Iraq is eliminated.
He added, “We record our pride as Iraqis with every name of the heroic martyrs, who, without their sacrifices, would not have stood here.”
He added: “Our martyrs are the pride of Iraq, and from this place, and in front of their written names, we promise them that their sacrifices will not be in vain, and that their families and children are in our minds.”
