Baghdad Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi said that there is no place for terrorism of all kinds, types and forms in Iraq.
He added, while presiding over the Cabinet session today, that last week witnessed a very unfortunate event, when a group of non-state forces carried out a terrorist and cowardly attack on Baghdad International Airport.
Al-Kadhimi added that these groups have become operating according to the logic of terrorism and are using the same tools and other actions of terrorist groups.
He continued: “all political forces, with their various political orientations, must unite their words and actions against these groups, stressing that there is no place for terrorism of all kinds, types and forms in Iraq.”
He pointed out: “This is the Iraq of the greats, the Iraq of peace, the Iraq of safety and security, and the Iraq of cooperation and partnership. We do not allow any party or person to tempt him to harm its reputation in this random and chaotic way.”
He continued, “Our security forces have followed the threads of the operation and have identified some of the terrorists involved, and they are continuing the investigations, assuring our great people that all those involved will be arrested and held accountable without exception, and no party, whatever it is, will be able to protect the criminals or smuggle them.”
