Baghdad Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi renewed the call for all social and political figures to encourage citizens to vote to reach political and administrative reform because our country and our people deserve it.
He said during the cabinet session “yesterday witnessed the launch of the National Document for Electoral Conduct, a document of conscience that was developed in order to control and organize the electoral process.”
He added that this document represents a charter of honor, obligating all political blocs and candidates, not to violate any act that affects the integrity of the electoral process.
Al-Kadhimi said “we entrust the Iraqis to march to the polls with the hope of a better Iraqi tomorrow”.
He said during the cabinet session: “By choosing the right candidate for Iraqis, a life away from corruption and spoilers begins, as any project that is free of corruption guarantees the luxury of peoples.”
He added, “Yesterday, we attended a conference to recover the looted funds from Iraq abroad, and we saw Arab and international seriousness in working to help Iraq recover these funds.”
He added that there are billions of dollars smuggled by the corrupt before and after 2003, and it is a right of the Iraqis, and we will recover these rights in full.
Al-Kadhimi said: “There is no controversy or favoritism over the rights of Iraqis and the people’s money, and the corrupt must be sure that the law will pursue them.
