Baghdad The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, confirmed, in a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the issuance of the fatwa of the jihad: “The fatwa of the supreme authority, Ali Al-Sistani, stopped a terrorist monster who had terrorized the whole world.”
Addressing the Iraqi people, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi said: “We remember this day not to awaken the wounds of orphans and widows, but to benefit from lessons and correct mistakes.”
Al-Kadhimi added in a statement commemorating the fatwa against ISIS: “Let us look to the future and build a strong and capable Iraq in which people are respected without discrimination,” stressing: “The language of tolerance and forgiveness must prevail and overcome the language of revenge and violence.”
