Najaf The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Qais al-Khazali said, “The statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs that the Iraqi security forces still need the help of the American forces is a very unfortunate statement rejected by us and by every Iraqi prides his military and security institutions.”
Khazali said in a tweet that the statement “does not reflect the reality of the capabilities that our heroic forces have reached from the army, the Federal Police, the Popular Mobilization and the Counter-Terrorism Service, nor the experiences and expertise that they possessed after the victory over ISIS.”
He added, “This statement cannot be understood except that it is a marketing of the justifications put forward by the US administration to justify its continued presence on Iraqi soil, which everyone knows has nothing to do with Iraq’s interest, rather closely linked to the Israel, which is considered by Iraq and Iraqis their enemy.
