Al-Khazali: We call on the government to take measures to maintain security and stability on the borders and prevent the use of Iraqi lands as a launching pad for aggression against neighboring countries

Najaf The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, called on the Iraqi government to take measures to maintain security and stability on the borders and prevent the use of Iraqi lands as a base for attacking neighboring countries.

Al-Khazali said in a tweet to him in this regard: Expressions of condemnation and denunciation are not sufficient to demonstrate our firm principled position in refusing to encroach on the sovereignty of our country and violate the sanctity of its land. Therefore, we call on the Iraqi government to take measures to maintain security and stability, by enabling the federal security forces to extend their control over the borders, carry out their duties in securing them, and prevent the use of Iraqi lands as a springboard for aggression against neighboring countries.

He stressed the need to equip and develop the Iraqi air defense system to protect the airspace from repeated violations.
