The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, affirmed Iraq's keenness to achieve Arab integration to face challenges.
Al-Maliki's office said in a statement: "The head of the coalition met in his office today, Deputy Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Khalayleh, and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him."
The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the current developments on the regional and international arenas.
The head of the State of Law Coalition affirmed Iraq's keenness to achieve Arab integration to face challenges, recalling the Baghdad summit in 2012, which established its position within the Arab world and drew paths for development and partnership, praising Jordan's positions and its keenness to be present in all Arab forums and its supportive role for Iraq in various fields.
In turn, Al-Khalayleh conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Jordanian King and Speaker of Parliament to Nuri Al-Maliki, expressing his country's support for Iraq and Jordan's desire to cooperate in various fields, especially the economic sectors, praising Al-Maliki's positions and his role in strengthening Iraqi-Jordanian relations.
